RepAIr

A structured programme to transform your technology from brake to accelerator

RepAIr is not a consultancy report. It is a retained advisory engagement — a structured, ongoing programme designed to deliver continuous strategic value. It is built on a simple premise: we cannot change what we do not measure, and we cannot measure without the right systems in place.

Phase 01

The Current State Assessment

Month 1

Before we change anything, we map everything.

Most businesses in difficulty do not have a technology problem. They have a clarity problem. Nobody has ever sat down and mapped, in rigorous detail, what the business actually does — as opposed to what people think it does. This phase does exactly that. We identify the core workflows that drive the business, the manual bottlenecks that slow them down, and the systems that are either helping or actively getting in the way.

Deliverables
  • Process mapping of all core business workflows
  • Systems audit: what works, what is redundant, what is holding you back
  • Risk identification: single points of failure, data security vulnerabilities, and operational exposures
  • A frank written assessment of current-state technology maturity
Phase 02

The 3-Year Technology Roadmap

Month 2

We translate your business goals into a phased technology strategy.

A roadmap is not a wish list. It is a prioritised, sequenced plan that acknowledges the constraints of budget, capacity, and risk. This phase takes the findings of the assessment and builds a structured programme of change — one that the board can understand, approve, and hold to account. The three-year horizon is deliberate: it is long enough to achieve meaningful transformation, short enough to remain credible.

Deliverables
  • Year 1 — Stabilise and Digitise: fixing immediate pain points, digitising manual processes, ensuring the core business is robust
  • Year 2 — Integrate and Automate: connecting siloed systems so data flows seamlessly without manual intervention
  • Year 3 — Data-Driven Leadership: leveraging clean data to build predictive models, enhance customer experience, and create competitive advantage
  • A board-ready presentation of the roadmap with investment requirements and expected returns
Phase 03

Execution and Oversight

Ongoing

A roadmap is useless without execution.

This is where most advisory engagements fail. The report is written, the recommendations are made, and then nothing happens — because nobody is accountable for making it happen. In this phase, I remain engaged as the board's technical representative throughout the execution of the roadmap. I act as the client's advocate in dealings with vendors and agencies, ensuring you buy what you need rather than what they want to sell.

Deliverables
  • Vendor selection and negotiation: acting as your technical representative with software vendors and agencies
  • Project oversight: monitoring implementation to ensure delivery on time, on budget, and to specification
  • Bi-weekly strategic reviews: measuring progress against the roadmap and adjusting to changing conditions
  • Ongoing board briefings to keep leadership informed and aligned

A retained advisory service

This is not a project engagement with a defined end date. It is a retained advisory relationship — ensuring you have continuous access to board-level technical expertise without the overhead of a full-time executive. The structure is designed to keep both parties focused and purposeful.

  • Development and ongoing refinement of the 3-Year Technology Roadmap
  • Two scheduled monthly meetings via Teams, inclusive of preparation and follow-up
  • Ad-hoc strategic counsel for the CEO and leadership team, up to the monthly hour allowance

The name is not an accident

RepAIr contains the word "repair" — because that is precisely what the programme does. It repairs the relationship between a business and its technology: the relationship that has, in many fast-growing companies, broken down entirely.

But it does more than repair. The AI at its heart is not decorative. It is the mechanism by which the analysis and design work that once took months of expensive consulting time can now be compressed into weeks. AI does not replace the judgement of an experienced practitioner — it amplifies it. The diagnosis is still human. The implementation is faster, cheaper, and more thorough than it has ever been.

The result is a programme that turns base metal IT — the fragmented, manual, barely-functioning systems that are holding your business back — into something genuinely valuable. Not just fixed. Transformed.
